This Seattle residence in zip code 98178 was being fully remodeled and modernized. The existing heating and air conditioning systems were out of date, inefficient, and potentially unsafe. Furthermore the work had to be completed in a tight period of time to work around the builders and other contractors.
A lot of work needed to be done. Our contractor identified numerous issues. Amongst them was the need for a new pad to support an a/c unit on the rear side of the home and a new 240 vault circuit from an unused circuit in the basement to feed that circuit. The customers wanted a more efficient furnace than the current 80% unit, purchased a new 98% model to replace it. New ducts had to be installed and tested. Because of the increased energy efficiency, the customer qualified for a tax rebate on the work. It was also established that we would need to replace the humidifier, thermostat and pumps. For these, we used, amongst other things, the SLP98UH070V36B Coil, CX 34-38B AC: XC17-036 YES pump, and the Lennox comfort Honeywell Round T871007 thermostat. This was essentially a brand new system from the ground up. As this was a Seattle heating repair and rebuild, an earthquake valve was needed on the gas lines. In addition, this residential customer asked us to install their own unit heater in the garage.
The installation has been scheduled, but not completed. However, the customer is happy with the quote given both in terms of money and time. They are very pleased they chose MM Comfort Systems to handle this complicated Seattle heating repair and Seattle air conditioning repair. We handle residential jobs from simple tasks to complicated rebuilds like this as well as commercial buildings.
