North Bend homeowners moving into the previously owned home they purchased found many surprises – including with their furnace and heat pump system. Based on great things they heard about MM Comfort Systems we were called to help sort things out. The existing single stage Trane furnace was old and inefficient so they replaced it with a new Carrier variable speed, high efficiency furnace. The existing Rheem heat pump was serviceable so comprehensive heat pump maintenance was performed and the heat pump was put back into operation.
While performing duct pressure testing, which is required for all new furnace and/or AC / Heat Pump installations, major duct leakage became obvious. Upon investigation it was determined duct work was disconnected in the attic resulting in serious comfort problems and huge utility bills. Arrangements were made to come back and repair faulty ductwork, immediately resolving comfort, indoor air quality and energy cost issues.
This homeowner now enjoys the comfort they deserve (including air conditioning in summer time) and lower utility bills associated with energy efficient heating / cooling systems which are properly installed and maintained.
