Seattle Family Saved From Potential Trouble with a New Carrier Gas Furnace Model 58NVC080-F-1-14

MM Comfort BLOG

On a routine service check of a Seattle family's old Payne 69MAA048100AOKA gas furnace in Seattle, Washington, MM Comfort Systems (MMCS) was able to diagnose a potentially lethal situation and help the family in the 98115 zip code remedy the situation. What could have gone unnoticed was identified and fixed by MMCS's routine Planned Maintenance Agreement.

Our contractor was visiting the Seattle home in the fall as part of our Planned Maintenance Agreement. This periodic maintainance check of a home's heater is essential to keeping it operating safely and efficiently. It includes a thorough inspection, routine maintenance and help with any questions a customer might have from our knowledgable technicians.

During this scheduled maintenance visit our contractor was able to identify that the family's aging Payne furnace was operating with badly rusted heat exchangers. Because of the threat of carbon monoxide poisoning, this gas heater had to be shut down immediately. The repair for this situation is very costly, therefore the Seattle customer decided to replace the unit with a new Carrier Gas Furnace Model 58NVC080-F-1-14. Not only is this new Carrier gas heater safe, it is quieter and more efficient as well.

Thanks to our Planned Maintenance Agreement, with scheduled checks in the fall and the spring, this Seattle family was able to avert a potentially dangerous situation. They are now enjoying the new Carrier gas furnace that will last them for years to come.
