First Quality Assured New Homes Contractor in WA State – MM Comfort Systems Accredited |
SEATTLE, WA - MM Comfort Systems (Redmond, WA) announced they have been accredited as a Quality Assured New Homes Contractor by the Air Conditioning Contractors Association of America (www.acca.org/qa). This accreditation reflects increasing standards associated with heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) system design and installation for new homes.
Design and construction standards are being increased as part of a broad trend towards healthier more energy efficient homes.
ACCA Quality Assured contractors satisfy requirements for the EPA ENERGY STAR New Homes Program. To earn the ENERGY STAR, a home must meet strict guidelines for energy efficiency set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. These homes are at least 15% more energy efficient than homes built to the 2004 International Residential Code (IRC), and include additional energy-saving features that typically make them 20–30% more efficient than standard homes.
MM Comfort Systems is currently the only company in Washington State with ACCA’s Quality Assured accreditation.
ACCA is a non-profit association serving more than 60,000 professionals and 4,000 businesses in the HVACR community. They promote professional contracting, energy efficiency, and healthy, comfortable indoor environments. ACCA’s roots stretch back to the early part of the 20th century, and the organization was incorporated in its present form over 40 years ago.
MM Comfort Systems has been serving the Seattle area since 1977. They specialize in design, installation and service of heating, air conditioning and indoor air quality systems. MM Comfort Systems takes a consultative approach - helping customers understand options to maintain, repair and/or replace their furnace, heat pump, air conditioning, air quality, hot water and electrical systems. MM Comfort Systems is locally owned and passionate about its commitment to the citizens and communities of the Puget Sound area.
