Ballard Church Cuts Energy Costs 45% With New Boiler / Commercial HVAC System |
The Challenge:
Originally installed in 1925, the church’s 1 MBTU oil fired (later changed to gas) furnace was dirty, expensive to operate, unreliable and a constant source of frustration. The equipment room (think dungeon) in which it was located was cramped for space - making repairs and /or installation of a replacement system very difficult. To make matters worse the boiler was connected to an air distribution system that was also obsolete, and inefficient. High operating / repair costs and uncomfortable conditions compelled church leadership to look for answers.
